概要
In recent years, seafood certification schemes aimed at assuring farm or fishery conformance with a set of social and/or environmental responsibility criteria have emerged as market-based governance tools for improving sustainability. The purpose of this SeaChoice review is to understand the extent in which the ASC, BAP and GLOBALG.A.P. are a product of and platform for civil society stakeholder engagement. In particular, we review the external accountability mechanisms that each certification offers for their accessibility and transparency.
