概要
In 2021, RSB launched the revision of the sustainability Principles and Criteria. This two-phased consultation and revision process gave our diverse stakeholder network across our members, partners and beyond, the opportunity to highlight specific topics to address in the second phase consultation – which takes place in 2022. Support was shown for ensuring that the standard drives a bio- and circular economy based on climate resilience, particularly at the field level, with the generation and quantification of positive impacts seen as key to evidence this transition. In addition, the P&C will be updated to better reflect its coverage not only of biofuels but also circular and bio-based materials (non-energy markets). Methodologies for GHG assessment and other scientific aspects of the P&C will also be updated to ensure alignment with best-practice and the latest science.
