概要
In this study, researchers estimated the environmental and technical efficiencies of rice production in GlobalGAP and conventional rice systems. The results showed that the environmental efficiency of conventional rice was significantly higher than GlobalGAP rice, indicating a potential overuse of agrochemical inputs in GlobalGAP rice. On average across systems, environmental efficiency was 22.58%, indicating that farmers could reduce inputs by 87.5% without compromising output. Larger farms had higher technical and environmental efficiency.
