概要
Agricultural certification standards are critical for a sustainable agri-food system, but research on compliance within African and Asian markets is vitally missing. The study conducts a systematic review and bibliometric analysis of existing literature to provide insights into publication trends, critical articles and research sponsorship contributors. The research reveals that certain certification schemes and value chains are under-represented, with Germany being the most influential contributor to agricultural certification compliance-related studies. The research suggests that scholars in Africa and Asia should explore more avenues for international cooperation, given the better funding opportunities available to their counterparts in developed countries.
