概要
This impact update from the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) provides insight and overview on RSPO's progress and activities from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019. The report gives an outline of RSPO’s reach (3.8 million hectares certified), membership (4,349 members in 94 countries), and governance. Details are provided on the various methods used to measure and evaluate impacts on people (Sustainable livelihoods and poverty reduction), the planet (Conserved, protected and enhanced ecosystems that provide for the next generation) and prosperity (Competitive, resilient and sustainable sector). Evidence from various studies is highlighted, showing positive impacts such as increased number of independent smallholders included under group certification and reduction in CO2 emissions.
