概要

The Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU) is a global community of country platforms, partner organizations and Ambassadors working to advance sustainability, equity and resilience in food and land use systems. This paper seeks to explore how implementing a specific set of regenerative agricultural practices has the potential to fit within a comprehensive reform agenda that was set out in FOLU’s Growing Better report in the form of 10 Critical Transitions. The paper is based on the assumption that half of all ecosystem areas should remain intact and ensure that all agricultural lands have functional integrity (capacity to regenerate). This report reviews the evidence linking a dozen specific farm-level regenerative agricultural practices to three farm-level outcomes: biodiversity, climate change mitigation and yield. These are all critical components of a future outcome-based framework, but they are not the only important outcomes. Other key environmental, social and economic outcomes that should be included in the development of such a framework include water, pollution, health (soil, animal, human), livelihoods, fairness (e.g. gender equity, youth inclusion), employment opportunities, profitability, and nutrition.
