概要
This report looks at understanding the role of BCI in addressing the social and labour impacts in cotton cultivation at farm-level, and in determining the scope of future BCI work. The report was prepared by conducting key informant interviews with relevant stakeholders and desk based research using secondary sources. The paper recommends devolving concerted action and implementation to sub-regional 'Social Process' groups, alongside other social and labour experts. Social Process groups would pursue the key issues relevant to the sub-region. It is suggested that, by working from the ground up, there will be sufficient cooperation and understanding of the issues to begin to effect change.
