概要

This article looks at the concept of Free, prior, informed consent (FPIC) from a theoretical perspective, and analyses its emergence in the last years in intenational policy and social society circles. It explores how FPIC has emerged as the approach to avoid indigenous peoples negative impacts from extractive projects.
